A man was yesterday arraigned before Magistrate Tabally of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with defilement of an under-age girl.
Babucarr Jeng, who pleaded not guilty to the charge, was subsequently remanded in custody.
According to the charge, the accused on 2nd January 2011 in Serrekunda at Ebo-Town, unlawfully had carnal knowledge of a 16-year-old girl (name withheld).
The case was adjourned till 22nd February 2011.
