Man in Court for cheating

One Sada Jallow was on Monday arraigned before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Brikama Magistrates' Court charged with cheating and making document.

According to the particulars of the offence on count one, on 6th October 2008 at the Banjul International airport the accused bough infant air ticket at an amount of D340 when in fact he was an adult.

On count two, the offence revealed that on the same day, place and year the accused change the air ticket of an infant valued at $16.10 to an adult air ticket valued at $216.10 from Gambia International Airline.

He pleaded guilty to the offence, and was fined D10.000 in both counts in default to serve four years imprisonment.

In a related development, one Ebrima Touray of LaminVillage was also arraigned at the Brikama Magistrate' Court charged with shop breaking and stealing.

Mr Touray was said to have break and steal in the shop of one Miss Ndey Jarju items worth D15,820. He pleaded guilty to the charged before he was remanded into custody until 27th October 25008.
