Magnificent Joe, Gambia’s reggae dancehall artiste, has described his debut album entitled ‘Legal Movement’ as superb.

“As a law student I decided to come up with the album to enlighten people about the laws in our country as ignorance of the law is not an excuse, and teach people how to do their daily activities under the realm of the law,” he said.

“Among the thrilling songs in that album are ‘Happy Hour’ ‘Stay Away from Drugs and crime’, ‘Don’t Hurt the One You Love’ and the most hit and mainstay piece that rocked the country like a blow-up volcano is ‘Huum in the Name of the Lord’,” he said.

Magnificent Joe told The Point that the latest move is just a tip of the iceberg, more and more fascinating songs are in the line-up.

The rising star said he is currently working hard round the clock to give his music a new facelift.

Having participated in a number of mega compilations, both national and international, the reggae dancehall sensation in 2009 was the winner of the famous Chart Buster contested by different artistes in the country courtesy of the Gambia Cellular Company (Gamcel).

Since then he has been moving forward and more fascinating is that the period symbolises the birth of new music sensations.

A graduate of Armitage Senior Secondary located in the Central River Region island town of Janjangbureh, Joe over the years has proven to be a star par excellence.
