Christopher Williams known as Silky Chris, Gambia’s upcoming Dancehall artiste, has revealed that he has been working relentlessly to make a name in the country’s booming entertainment scene.
Silky Chris has released two singles: “Words of Truth”, and “Genital Course and Homosexuality’, a menace beyond human imagination.
“I have also released a video of some of these singles, namely ‘Love All Children’ and the ‘Global Warming’. I want to call on my fans to remain loyal as I have much in store for them in my quest to push my music internationally,” he assured.
A resident of Latrikunda German, the sprouting sensation believes with time and good health, he will release his debut masterpiece album hopefully sometime in 2014.
According to him, his determination, coupled with series of projects in the offing, he is optimistic that his dreams of making it to the country’s entertainment top one day, is attainable.
“Over the past years, I have worked tirelessly in the release of series of singles that are making waves in the country at the moment and some of these songs talk about the current societal ills,” he said
He said he has been participated in many mega events like the ‘Open Mic Festivals’ and also performed on numerous occasions at Alliance Franco with lots of Gambian artistes.
He describes ‘homosexuality’ something alien to Gambian culture, stressing that he’s currently working very hard to drop another single titled ‘God’s Best Creatures’, which is a love song dedicated to his loved ones.
