Linguere beat Sea view 3-0 in a dramatic penalty shoot-out after an action-packed game failed to produce result as the knock-out competition continued to produce some exciting and thrilling moment of fantastic football in Bakau.
Linguere got the better of their opponent, Sea View to end their disappointing run in the summer championship with a 3-nil win which also dented the hotel club's chance of winning another knock-out title.
"We cannot afford to make an early exit from the only championship title that evaded us, we are really up for it and we are with a great optimism that if we continue putting up a great fight, we can record our first knock-out title in the club's history," Linguere's Head Coach Kebba Touray told Pointsport shortly after his side's penalty shoot-out victory over the hotel club Sea View.
Lnguere has never won the knock-out trophy since the establishment of the club, but the Bakau New Town side is leaving no stone unturned in their effort to put an end to their poor run in the knock-out.
Other results in the knock-out saw Saul Samba edging pass Mamakoto with Alagie Janneh scoring the only goal of the game to help his side progress to the quarter-final of the knock-out competition.
