As part of their drive towards the promotion and development of golf in The Gambia, the Fajara Golf Club is set to stage a one-day golf tournament for its members, billed for Sunday 1st November 2009, at the Fajara Club.
Speaking to the Pointsport yesterday at his office, the Club Manager, Bakary Njie, said the tournament which will commence from 9pm onward is organised to improve and develop young talented golfers in The Gambia.
Njie pointed out that prizes will be awarded to the winners and runners-up, third and forth place holders and the most outstanding golf player of the tournament.
He said the tournament would go a long way towards nurturing the raw talented golfers in The Gambia.
He seized the opportunity to call on golf fans and spectators to come out in their numbers to witness the most anticipated golf tournament.
He expressed his club’s willingness to contribute immensely to the development of golf in the country.
