Last year’s
semi-finalists Banyaka will today host Jambanjelly in the 2013-2014 late Kajali
Badjie and late Ismaila Nyassi Kombo South District’s biggest football
tournament, at the Tujereng Football Field.
Banyaka and Jambanjelly have both bagged a single point each in one game in group C after drawing their opening group games and are of the hope of cementing their chances of qualifying for the quarterfinal.
On Saturday 29 March 2014, debutant Gunjur Kunkujang will play against high-flying Kartong side at the Sifoe Football Field. This is Gunjur Kunkujang’s debut appearance in the Kombo South District’s biggest football fray in memory of the late Kajali Badjie and the late Ismaila Nyassi.
Kartong will be looking for a resounding win against Gunjur Kunkujang to keep their hopes of qualifying for the quarterfinal, after they failed to reach the quarterfinal in the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 Kombo South district football tournament.
Elsewhere, Tanji will clash with Mamuda at the Tujereng football field. Each of both sides badly wants victory to stand a better chance of reaching the quarterfinal and subsequently the final.
