According to the stated facts, the accused, Rohey Sallah on 14th June 2009 at Brufut village, wilfully and unlawfully assaulted one Isatou Jallow by felling her down.
According to the prosecuting officer Sgt 553 Abdoulie Jammeh, the complainant's and the accused's children were fighting. He added that the complainant was coming from the market and found the two children fighting and as she was trying to separate them, the accused came and pushed her down, and as a result her market shopping all got damaged.
The trial Magistrate later ordered the accused to compensate the complainant in the sum of D300.
