The much awaited KM 3rd division regional league kick-started on Sunday at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium with much fanfare.
The tournament was opened by Darusalam and Magadaan in a thrilling encounter with both teams coming into the game with much determination to collect the three points.
The first half was not that much difficult for both sides as they were all conscious of their respective defence lines.
The second half was more of an attacking punch for both teams with the turning point of the game becoming obvious in the 79th minute when Darusalam FC’s Hassim Jallow beat past the Magadaan FC off-side trap to tap in a goal from close range to put his side in front.
Magadaan FC had their share of the cake but could not score any of their chances thus the game ended 1-nil in favour of Darusalam FC.
