Kaw Talli FC on Tuesday drew 0-0 with Jarington FC in a keenly and well-contested encounter in the ongoing Serrekunda West Sports Organisation (SWESO) Nawetan competition played at the mini stadium.
Both teams who came from defeats in the week’s encounters came into the game with the hope of collecting the maximum three points, but could only settle for a 0-0 draw at the end of the game.
Kaw Talli FC has now collected five points in four encounters, while Jarington FC collected seven points in four games.
Speaking to Muhammed Keita, head coach of Kaw Talli FC, he said the game was well-contested and there were a lot of chances, but that they could not capitalize on their chances, which resulted in the game ending in a stalemate.
He also expressed confidence that his team will reach the round of sixteen stage of the competition, adding that their aim was to win the game, and that his team is just coming into the nawettan this year.
He noted that their main priority, in the nawetan this year, is to avoid relegation, while commending his players for their determination and commitment.
