The Special Criminal Court had set a date it expected to deliver judgement in the case of arson, stealing by clerk, being in possession of stolen property and willful damage to property involving one Mangiki Sambou.
This followed the address made by the Director of Public Prosecutions, S.H. Barkun, recently.
In his address, the DPP told the court that the prosecution had called witnesses and tendered several exhibits in support of their case.
He stated that the witnesses had identified the accused by his name and the testimonies of the witnesses linked the accused to the offence.
DPP pointed out that the prosecution had succeeded in proving their case against the accused person, Mangiki Sambou, adding that the accused had admitted the charge at the police level which was clearly stated in the cautionary and voluntary statements.
He urged the court to convict her accordingly.
