The Industrial Tribunal of Kanifing chaired by Magistrate Ngube, on 18 July 2012 ordered Ousman Bah, former employee of Makasutu Wildlife, to provide printout of social security payments.

The development followed the plaintiff’s testimony that he was told by social security that there was no payment made for him since 2006.

The plaintiff filed a claim against the defendant, Makasutu Wildlife Trust, for D60,000, for unpaid wages, breach of contracts, and wrongful termination of his service, among others.

He told the tribunal there was a deduction on his salary.

“A period of 31 months of my social security was not paid and D240 was being deducted from my salary every month,” claimed the plaintiff.

The tribunal then made the order for the printout of what was paid and what was not.

He further testified that on 12 September 2009, he received a termination letter, which was tendered and admitted in evidence.

“I was not paid any money. I was asked to work on voluntary basis,” he told the tribunal.
