The carnival is a programme designed to strengthen the bond that exists between the association and the people it represents, according to Secretary General Baboucarr Nyang.
He added that it is also an avenue to share skills, culture and development experience to better respond to “the society’s challenges we are routinely facing”.
Activities such as a football fitness tournament, marathon, cultural shows, which includes wresting and a day conference on the impact of youth participation in community development and sport, will be held from 8 to 11 April 2016 at Fass Njaga Choi Village.
The whole community of Fass and its surrounding are expected to participate in the event.
A sustainable plan will also be developed for the continuity of the event, which will be solely funded by the community members.
Fass Development Association (FADA) represents everyone living both in The Gambia and abroad who subscribes in upholding the principles of development and dedication, to ensuring community self-development approach, academic success and professional skills development.
