JC Faye clinches miss francophile context

The Saints Francophile Association recently ended their first edition of "Miss Francophile" competition at the Alliance Franco Gambienne sponsored by PAFEG.

Binta Jallow of JC Faye Memorial School emerged the winner among the five competing schools.

Rohey Kone of Gambia High School was the first runner-up while Amie Faal of SOS Senior School was the 2nd runner-up.

The "Miss Discipline" prize was won by Fatoumatta Bah of St. Therese's Upper Basic School while Veronic Jatta of St. Peter's Senior Secondary School won the "Miss Commitment".

According to Adama Talla, the national co-ordinator of Saint Francophile (SFA) praised the commitment of the participating schools and applauded them for taking part in making French a living language. He stressed that PAFEG has always played a bigger role in their French activities.

"PAFEG has sponsored all our activities including this one. Monsieur Gerard Chouin wants to see us excel," he said.

The prizes won goes as follows: 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions will study French at Alliance for one year plus several learning materials and female cosmetic products.

There is also a sponsored trip to Dakar for the general membership of the Saint Francophile (SFA).
