The
2013-2014 West Coast Regional third division league champions Jambanjelly
United on Friday defeated Brikama 2-1 in the 2014-2015 West Coast Regional
league opening game played at the Brikama Box Mini Stadium.
The Jam-city boys opened the tally through talisman Saikouba Ceesay from the penalty spot, after Omar Camara was brought down inside the area by Ousman Sanneh, to give his side the lead.
Substitute Ensa Marong sealed the victory in the 75th minute of the game, after slashing through Brikama’s defence to fire home the second goal.
Brikama fought back for an equalizer and managed to pull back one goal through James Gomez in the dying minutes of the game, which eventually proved to be a consolation goal for them.
The victory has earned Jambanjelly United the maximum 3 points in one game, after their slender 2-1 win over Brikama in the opening game.
Brikama are with zero points in one outing, following their 2-1 defeat to Jambanjelly United in the opening game.
