Star Jalex, commonly known as Akuntu, is currently on world tour to promote his album Roukouch.
The Gambian music star started his tour in London, the United Kingdom, where is currently entertaining his fans with music tunes.
Jalex also performed at the London Carnival last weekend courtesy of Yaram Arts London and Champion Sounds Production.
According to information sent to Entertainment by DJ Lamin Cham, CEO of Champion Sounds Production revealed that Jalex will be performing alongside Assan Njie at the Senegambian Cultural Events in London.
The Gambian musician will continue his American tour on Labour Day at the Gambian Reunion event in Miami, New York, Atlanta, Seattle, Dallas and Washington DC to take the Gambian flag to higher heights.
Jalex has contributed greatly in honing his talents, commenting on his achievements as a musician.
Jalex in 2007 received an award from the UK-Senegambia as the best upcoming UK-Senegambian artiste.
His second award was given to him by the UK-Gamspirit Music as the best solo artiste.
The Gambian artiste also received his third award given to him by The Gambia Talent in the US as the best Afro-Manding Singer. “All these awards is because of his hard work,” said DJ Lamin Cham.
