On their arrival, Friday the 28th of January 2011, they were met at the airport by the honorable minister of tourism and culture and officials of the Fajara club. Series of tennis games were played throughout Saturday and a dinner at the Djeliba Hotel.
According to a press release from the Fajara Club, the visitors were also exposed to cultural sites and local markets. They departed on Sunday the final day of the visit extremely satisfied at the wonderful Gambian hospitality accorded to them.
“An invitation to visit has been duly extended to Fajara Club by the Ikoyi club 1938,” the release added.
