They welcome the challenge from the civil sector, he went on, but was confidently that Lamin Sanneh will be the winner “because he have been monitoring his progress both in and out of the Gambia.”
Kinteh revealed that they have been in constant contact with Lamin and Roy Sanyang (CEO Gambia Volunteers) who served as his manager for the UK marathon.
On behalf of the office of the Inspector General of Police and the entire Interior sporting fraternity, Kinteh thanked the organisers of the Bajana Marathon for facilitating Sanneh’s participation in the Leeds half marathon.
They are looking forward to having more sponsors in the next edition of the Bajana Marathon.
The athletes from Interior will participate in the third edition of the Bajana Marathon, and will capture first position in all categories, Kinteh went on.
