The Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, Hon Sheriff M.L Gomez, will today preside over the inauguration of the interim Members of the National Sports Council at the Independence Stadium conference room at 11am.
According to Alieu Cham, executive Secretary of the National Sports Council, the termS of reference of the interim council will be six months, following which they will officially handover to the regional representatives who will serve for a period of four years.
The interim council will be chaired by Mustapha Alex Dacosta, and other members include George Gomez, Modou Gaye, Sheikh Faye, Bakary Jammeh, Ousman Wadda, Director of Youth and Sports, Kunkung Jobarteh representative of the permanent Secretary Department of State for Basic and Secondary Education, and Cecilia Jallow.
