Inter-Secondary Schools Volleyball and Football heat up

The Gambia Secondary School sports Association (GSSSA) Gambega-sponsored inter-Secondary Schools Volleyball tournament, which kicked-off on Tuesday 22nd June 2010, has witnessed exciting and thrilling encounters at the Saint Therese’s Upper Basic School and Abuko Upper Basic Volleyball lawns respectively. 

On Wednesday 23rd June 2010, Saint Augustine Senior Secondary School Volleyball team defeated Unity Senior Secondary Volleyball team in two straight sets at the Abuko lawn.

On the same day, Farafenni Senior Secondary School Volleyball team defeated Kinder Dorf Bottrop Senior Secondary School Volleyball team by 3 sets to 1set at the Abuko lawn.

In the same vein, Armitage’s PE master, Victor Bindi, has confidently said that his school will clinch the iter-secondary shools fotball turney. He said this after his side’s 2-1 victory over Pickering Senior Secondary School in the Gambega-sponsored Inter-Secondary Schools Football championship.

Mr. Bindi further went on to say that his boys are well prepared and determined to clinch the title for the first time in the history of Armitage Senior Secondary School. He expressed confidence that his boys will certainly perform to expectations. 

He revealed that his school has been performing well in the previous tournament, but was not lucky to clinch the title.

“This year will prove difference, and we will make Armitage and Central River Region (CRR) proud,” he promised.
