The prosecutor in the trial of Lamin Darboe, charged with injuring his younger brother with a cutlass yesterday applied to the court for an indefinite adjournment of the matter.

Prosecutor Jobe told the court that the prosecution was going to amend the charge, adducing that the current one was a holding one.

Presiding Magistrate Mbake of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court granted the application. He noted that the victim is still admitted at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH) and the medical certificate is very important to determine the gravity of the injury and the court to come up with a judgement.

The accused was accordingly remanded in custody.
