The International Cricket Council has expressed delight at The Gambia's cricket developmental programme which focuses on efforts to promote the game at the grassroots level and national decentralisation process, during the ICC annual conference and centenary celebration recently at the Lord Cricket Ground in the
The annual conference and centenary celebration (ICC celebrations of 100 years of existence) for the first time brought together 104 members of the ICC under one roof for the first time in 100 years.
Johnny Gomez, the President of the Gambia Cricket Association who just returned from a world gathering, staged between 20 and 26 of last month was part of the ICC historical event.

The cricket boss also meet with Cassim Sulieman, the Regional Development Manager for North/West Africa, who is set to visit The Gambia and is expected to meetthe Gambia National Olympic Committee, National Sports Council and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
