Latrikunda Danso were crowned the champions of the just ended Youki Youth Football Tournament, with a dramatic 4-2 win over Old Jeshwang on penalty kicks.
The pulsating and exciting encounter was held to a one all drew before proceeding to the post match shoot-out at the Sea View Football field.
Omar Ceesay put Old Jeshwang ahead with only a minute from the break after capitalising on a goalkeeping blunder to hammer home a brilliant close rage effort under the watchful eyes of the U-17's Head Coach Tarik Siagy who was among the dignitaries.
Old Jeshwang continued to be a better side than Latrikunda throughout the first interval, but their hope were dashed with a 1-0 advantage suffered a big blow when star striker Gibril Secka stunned them with a low header to put his determined side back into the mouth watering encounter.
An action packed 90 minute took the game to a penalty shoot-out, which confirmed Latrikunda's 4-2 victory over Old Jeshwang.
They were awarded a trophy and ten crates of Youki drinks, while Old Jeshwang, the runners-up, went home with five crates.

Bakau Newtown collected a trophy and ten crates of Youki soft drinks. A consolation of five Youki crates was also presented to Ndow's.
The tournament organised by the Department of State for Youths and Sports, in collaboration with Banjul Breweries, aimed at scouting young talents at the grassroots level.
