Gunjur set to wrestle Brikama Utd in warm-up clash today

Gunjur zonal team are set to host Brikama United in a warm-up clash set for today, Friday 7 October 2016, at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field at 4.30pm.

Gunjur zonal team will use the friendly tie against Brikama United to prepare themselves fit for their Monday’s 2016 FiBank-sponsored Super Nawettan opening game against Brufut at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Brikama United, on the other hand, will also use the test match to prepare themselves well for the 2017 CAF Confederations Cup after lifting the 2016 GFF FF Cup title following their 1-0 win over rivals Bombada in a well-contested final game played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, on 5 June 2016.

This is courtesy of striker Sainey Bojang alias Powerful in the second half, to earn Brikama United their first-ever FF Cup title since the inception of the club in 2003, by the former president of Brikama Sports Committee Lamin King Colley.
