The
Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS) and Alchemy Marketing
(International) Ltd Wednesday 5 October 2016 signed an agreement, geared
towards working closely together to uplift the face of Gambia’s TV and Radio
Stations, via an SMS platform powered by Alchemy.
GRTS
will be using the cloud based platform created by Alchemy to introduce new,
exciting, educational and interactive programmes.
This
value-added service brings a new marketing tool for GRTS enabling them to grow
their audience.
Recent
research shows SMS has a higher direct response rate than telemarketing, email
and direct mail. 90% of all text messages are read within three minutes of
delivery.
Through
Alchemy’s unique all network SMS platform a simple message can be sent to a
specific code recording for instance a vote.
The
system will then quickly and efficiently count all votes and a winner can be
broadcast at the end of a competition.
All
the systems and structures are in place for this appropriate and user-friendly
platform benefitting the whole nation and will surely be mirrored by many other
institutions here in The Gambia and abroad.
