Gunjur FC who have been crowned of the champions of the West Coast Region third division qualifiers following their 5-3 post match penalty shootout victory over Sifoe FC in the final, after goalless drew in the regulation time a forth night ago team will represent the West Coast Region in the upcoming Gambia Football Association (GFA) triangular third division qualifiers later this year.
As part of their preparations for the most anticipated 2012Gambia Football Association (GFA) triangular third division qualifiers to be completed by teams from Banjul, Municipality, West Coast Region and the two team who are relegated to the third division last season will battle it out for a place in the second division later this year.
Gunjur FC has intensive training ahead of the triangular third division qualifiers in Gunjur recently.
According to Gunjur FC, the head coach, Ousman Sanneh, said they have started since they gained qualification to represent West Coast Region in the GFA triangular third division qualifiers.
Sanneh stated that he and the coaching staff will all efforts make sure they improve on their weakness and also strengthening some departments in his team in order to produce very good performance and win their matches in the qualifiers to qualify for the country’s second tier.
Sanneh expressed confident that his team will gain promotion to the GFA national division two at the end of the triangular qualifier and urge the fans to continue being behind team so that gain promotion to the second division.
