A leading financial intermediary in The Gambia’s banking sector, GTBank was the Bank of the Year 2015, awarded by the country’s private sector apex body - the Gambia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Employers’ Association (GCCI).
GTBank Gambia, which began operations in The Gambia in March 2002 has, over the years, remained committed to providing professional banking services for various facets of the Gambian economy.
The GTBank Save and Win Deposit Mobilization campaign, as it name implies, is out to mobilise more deposits for the bank, as it encourages a savings culture.
The campaign was also initiated to give back to customers, who are stakeholders of the bank.
The campaign, which has a lot of goods and value for GTBank customers and the unbanked in the country, is simply a “fulfilment of the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility pledge” as a corporate citizen of The Gambia.
“A grand raffle draw will be held at the end of the year, in which customers that maintain balances of D500,000 or more in their GTBank Account could win one HYUNDAI ACCENT Car [as first prize], a Return Ticket to Dubai for one plus pocket money of $2,000 [as 2nd Price], and a Complete Luxury Sitting Room Sofa Set [as 3rd Price],” said GTBank Gambia Executive Director and chairperson of the mobilization campaign Mrs Isatou Jawara.
She encouraged customers to keep saving with the bank, and try to always maintain savings in their accounts that will make them qualify to be part of the draw and subsequent winning prizes.
To qualify for the grand finale, customers of the bank must have a minimum closing balance of D500,000 or more for the duration of the promo.
Lucky winners at the second presentation of prizes on Tuesday expressed strong appreciation and good wishes for the bank.
“I will continue to bank with Guaranty Trust Bank and even inform other people of this country, who are not customers of this bank, to start banking with GTBank. To me they are one of the best banks in this country; they are a good bank,” said Mamjai Krubally, who represented her mum, Awa Jobe, one of the fridge freezer winners.
“Guaranty Trust Bank will always go to great lengths to ensure our customers are satisfied at all times,” said GTBank’s corporate affairs officer, who moderated the presentation ceremony.
