GPA coach target is to stay in 1st Division

Peter Bonu Johnson, the Head Coach of the Gambia Ports Authority has said that his number one priority is to stay in the First Division.

The determined GPA coach whose team is so far topping the league at 27 points was quick to say that, despite his mission the team will continue working hard.

Bonu, who was making this statement during his team's hard fought 1-0 win over Interior at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium on Saturday also pray for luck to be on their side.

Bonu Johnson also stated that he is conscious of the way and manner in which he used his players to avoid fatigue as, according to him, the league is coming to a stage where teams have to play twice a week, noting that he has given chance to all players to prove their worth.

Ahead of their next clash against Armed Forces, Bonu is preparing well, knowing that playing with the champions is never easy.

He is of the belief that they will take the game in good faith to give it a respectable performance.

Coach Johnson also stated that the secret behind their success this season is all about team and hard work.
