Last year's FA Cup champions Young Africans at 13 points, are now a single point clear on top of the 2009-10 Gambia Football Association Second Division League, following their narrow 1-0 win over Serrekunda East in the Week Eight fixtures last Friday, at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda.
Coach Amat Cham, whose team made an unimpressive start overtook Africell, who lost to Latrikunda 1-0 at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium in the Week Eight fixtures.
In the other scores, Nema United thrashed newly promoted side Banjul United 3-0 at the Box bar Mini-stadium in Brikama, while Lamin FC beat Flamemins 2-1 at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium on Sunday.
Africell occupied 2nd spot with 12 points, followed by Lamin FC at 3rd position with 12 points.
