Feb 5, 2016, 10:40 AM

The Gambia Football Federation Reserved League has been called off with immediate effect by the Organizing Committee and approved by the GFF Executive at a recent meeting.

According to the GFF, the decision to call off the league came after the GFF OC observed that teams have not actively been taking part in the tournament.

Meanwhile, the GFF also said Mr Ebou Cole, an Official of Brikama United, was found to have used foul and abusive language against match officials during the game between Brikama United against Wallidan and has therefore been handed a suspension of four matches in succession.

Francis Mendy of Red Hawks FC was also sent out of that match for receiving a second booking thus “he is suspended for one match with immediate effect”, GFF said.

The GFF further informed all team physiotherapists that no team’s medical officer is allowed to interrupt or stop GFF team of First Aiders/ Medical Staff from attending to an injured player on and off the pitch.
