The constitution of the Gambia Basketball Association was unanimously ratified and adopted by the majority members of the GBA at an extraordinary meeting held last Saturday at the conference hall of the Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC).
Speaking to reporters earlier, the president of the GNOC said a constitution is meant for proper guidance and direction to any association nationally and internationally.
Mr Dibba commended the executive in trying to restore basketball to its pride of place in the country and urged all members to adhere to the rule of law.
Dibba said it is significant that the constitution is in line with the National Sports Council and that of the National Olympic Committee.
Head coach of Wallidan Ousman Conateh said it was significant that the constitution was finally adopted as it is the tool that could guide them in the right direction.
Conteh urged all teams to pay their dues, which helps them to develop the sport.
He said they have only one international, who is currently engaged in teaching the younger ones, he disclosed, saying they should accept the referees they have for the moment.
