Jambanjelly have maintained their unbeaten run in the 2012 Kombo South District Tournament after a hard-fought 2-1 win over Farato in their group B encounter played on Saturday at the Tujereng football field.
Jambanjelly, who drew 1-1 with Tujereng in their first group B game a fortnight ago, needed only a victory to stand a better chance of making it to the quarterfinals, after a disappointing performance in last year’s competition.
Farato won their first game against Mamuda 2-0 a few weeks ago, but were denied another victory by Jambanjelly, which really dashed their hopes of making it to the quarterfinals.
Tujereng were held to a goalless draw by Mamuda in group B at the Jambanjelly football field on Friday.
Jambanjelly are still leading group B with 4 points in two games while Farato are 2nd position with 3 points in two games.
Tujereng are 3rd position in group B with 2 points in two encounters with one more game to go before the end of the group games.
