Gamtel/Gamcel Volleyball team has continued its superb run of form in the National Volleyball League after defeating Interior Volleyball Team by three straight sets on Saturday at the Gambia Senior Secondary School Volleyball lawn.

Speaking to reporters, the head coach of Gamtel/Gamcel Volleyball Team, Jegan Ndong, expressed delight over the victory, adding that Interior are their neighbors since they train on the same grounds.

Head coach Ndong stated that this was their best win since the beginning of the championship.

He said that they were physically and mentally prepared for the game before meeting their neighbors.

According to head coach Ndong, he sees no team that can stand on their way in winning the on-going league.

He further revealed that they are fully prepared for their next game knowing that they would meet the Gambia Armed Forces in their home ground.

Head coach Ndong admitted that he knows the game is not going to be an easy one, but was quick to add that he is confident that his boys will win the game at the end of the day.

Reacting to the defeat, Alagie Ceesay, the head coach of Interior Volleyball Team, said it was not bad for his side to lose to Gamtel/Gamcel Volleyball Team, as his team was not training together.

Alagie Ceesay who is also known as a Nature, said that if one wants to win in any volleyball game, one must have to train as a team, adding that they still have games to recover as the league is still very young.

Meanwhile, Brikama Female Volleyball Team on Friday 2nd July 2010 defeated Olympafrica Centre/Serrekunda East Female Volleyball Team by three sets to one set at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium Volleyball lawn.
