Gamtel FC will rub soldiers with Seaview FC in the final of the ongoing Africell sponsored Eda Carr Pre-season Tournament today Friday 8th January 2010, after defeating Banjul FC by 2-1 in their semi-final encounter last Wednesday, at the KG5 Mini-stadium in Banjul.
Skipper Pa Dodou Jammeh opened the score line for the telecommunication boys Gamtel FC in the 18th minute of the game after capitalising on Solomon Jarju's brilliant cross from the far right side of the field.
The city boys Banjul FC fought back and level the score line through Ebrima Cham in the 24th minute of the game from a wonderful finisher, thus the first half ended 1-1.
As action resumed in the second period of the game, Gamtel FC sealed the victory through Sainey Manneh in the 47th minute of the game from superb strike.
Daddy Ous Secka had a clear opportunity to level the score line for Banjul FC in the 67th minute of the game, but failed to make use of his chance thus the game ended 2-1 in favour of Gamtel FC.
It could be recalled that Seaview FC advanced to the final after defeating Hawks FC by 3-2 on penalty-out last Tuesday 5th January 2010, after a 0-0 draw at the KG5 Mini-stadium in
