FA Cup champions Gamtel have booked their place to the first round of the Gambia Football Association FA Cup competition.
They beat Hawks 3-2 on a penalty shootout following a 2-2 draw at the end of full time at the Brikama Mini-stadium on Wednesday.
Hawks opened the scoring through Omar Sarr in the 55th minute when he scored a brilliant goal to give his side the lead before Assan Ceesay levelled the score in the 65th minute.
The Banjul club, who earned themselves a promotion to the first division after spending the last season fighting to regain their spot in the first division, have joined Wallidan and Gambia Ports Authority in the next stage of the FA Cup competition.
