The Management and Staff of Gamtel /Gamcel on Monday praised the Gamtel Football Team for their recent Super Cup victory against Gambia Ports Authority last Saturday at the Banjul Mini-stadium.
The officials and players of Gamtel FCon Monday handed over the trophy to the Managing Director of Gamtel, Jamal Miknas, at a ceremony held at Gamtel Headquarters in
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mr Miknas thanked the players for the victory and urged them to continue to collectively work as a team, noting that his management would always continue to give the team the support they need.
He said the team had come a long way before achieving such a glory for the company, noting that the team now has a big task ahead of them and should therefore keep the momentum and prepare better ahead of the forthcoming Gambia Football Association football league. For his part, the deputy managing director of Gamtel, Baboucarr Sanyang, also commended the team for their commitment and dedication for achieving such a victory for the company.
He added that over the years the team has been working hard to reach to the level they have attained and with the coming of the caretaker Coach Tapha Manneh, who is a staff of Gamtel, things have really changed, because he has won two trophies for the team.
Basiru Darboe, president of Gamtel FC also seized the opportunity to inform the management that the team would represent the country for the forthcoming WAFU tournament and solicit their usual support for the team’s participation in the tournament.
