Gamtel are still languishing in the 2016-2017 Gambia Football Federation domestic division one league after losing to Samger 2-1 in their week-four fixtures played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium on Sunday.

The Academy boys and Telecommunication giants are both struggling in the country’s top flight with one point each in two league fixtures prior to their Sunday’s clash at the Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.

Samger grabbed the vital three points after notching in two goals to clinch their first win in the top flight and also climbing mid-table in the country’s premier league.

Gamtel managed to notch in one goal, which eventually proved to be a consolation goal for them.

The victory has earned Samger mid-table in the league with 4 points in three league fixtures.

Gamtel are still languishing one place above relegation zone with a single point in three league matches.

The telecommunication giants hope to win their next league fixtures to improve their position and also increase their chances of lifting the league title despite their poor start to the 2016-2017 domestic division one league campaign.

Brikama United lost to Hawks on the same score-line at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

Elsewhere, Real De Banjul thumped Serrekunda United 2-0 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium to keep their league title ambitions alive.

Hawks and Real De Banjul are both with 6 points in three league matches and Brikama United are with 4 points in three league matches.

Serrekunda United are second place from bottom in the league a single point in three league matches.
