Gambisara held by Drammeh Kunda in Sarahuleh tourney

Gambisara FC were on 7 March 2013 held to a 2-2 draw by Drammeh Kunda FC in the third edition of the annual Dynamic Sarahuleh Association for Changes and Development tournament played at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda.

Amara Jawara scored a brace for Gambisara FC in the 16th and 50th minutes of the game while Basiru Drammeh and Omar Drammeh scored for Drammeh Kunda in the 19th and 56th minutes respectively.

Gambisara FC were reduced to ten men in the 54th minute of the game when Muhammed Waggeh was sent off after been shown a second bookable offence and shown his matching orders.

Gambisara FC have now collected 7 points from 4 games while Drammeh Kunda have bagged 5 points from 4 encounters.

Ousman Dukureh, head coach of Gambisara, speaking to reporters shortly after the game, said the game was well-contested.

He added that his team played up to expectations, saying he was satisfied with his team’s performance.

He added that injuries contributed to their draw, but noted they are currently topping their group.

They will learn from their mistakes, which resulted into their draw, to re-enforce their team for their upcoming games, he said.

Abdou Salam Bayo, head coach of Drammeh Kunda FC, in his remarks, said they came to the game with the intention of collecting the maximum points but they were satisfied with the draw because Gambisara FC are a big team.

Two of his strikers were absent during the game against Gambisara due to injuries but despite their absence he was satisfied with his team’s performance, he added.

Their target is to win the trophy this year, he said, adding that they will go back and strengthen their team.

His team is improving game after game, he noted, thanking the fans for coming out in large numbers to cheer up the team.
