The Gambian athletes that are currently at the first youth Olympic Games in Singapore have made and continued to make a huge impact, as they recorded an impressive result in the youth games so far.
Short distance runner Fatou Sowe produced The Gambia's best result after making an impressive performance to finish 3rd in the girls 100m race with an impressive timing of 12.73 on Wednesday.
Ousman Gibba is another Gambian athlete that registered an outstanding result, as he secured the 4th place at the timing of 21.77 in the boys 200m race yesterday, while fellow athlete and compatriot, Omar Ceesay, who was one of the two Gambian athletes to compete in the opening day of the competition occupied the 6th spot at a timing of 52.09.
Another short distance runner in the name of Binta Jatta also made a remarkable performance, as she found herself in 5th place at the timing of 25.98 yesterday.
