Gambian professional footballers in Europe will face fellow country men in another busy weekend of action in their various topflight countries' leagues.
Stromsgodset and Banjul-born Muhammed Keita, is set to host Tijan Jaiteh's SK Brann on Saturday in the Norwegian Eliteserien.
The two Gambian stars will face each other in a clash between a top and struggling opponent. Stomsgodset is 5th with 32 points, while Jaiteh and Brann have 22 points and 12th on the Norwegian Tippeligaen.
Abdou Darboe and Honefoss at 14th and 20 points will play host to Stabeak on Sunday.
Dawda Leigh and Kristian Brix Valerenga will play fellow Gambian compatriots' side, Ebrima Sohna and Sandefjord on Monday. The duel of Gambian stars in Norway will be a weekend cracker, as both teams will be looking for the maximum points to push forward their 2010/11 campaign. Valerenga is currently second with 37 points and 9 behind leaders Rosenborg, while weekend opponents Sandefjord, who has so far demonstrated a poor run in the season are languishing at the bottom of the table with 8 points.
On Sunday another all Gambian clash will feature Ousman Jallow and Paul Jatta's Brøndby, who host Njogu Demba's OB on Sunday. Both sides as we went to press last night were also taking on their Europa League opponents in the first leg of the play-offs.
Demba's OB is 5th with 7 points, while Brondby is ahead on 3rd and 10 points on the Superliga table.
In the Swedish Allsvenskan, strugglers Pa Touray and Kebba Ceesay?s Djurgarden at 10th and 23 points will host mid-table opponents IFK Goteborg on Sunday in Week 20 fixtures.
Amadou Jawo and Elfsborg, who were also engaged in a UEFA Europa League clash yesterday will play Häcken on Sunday. The team is at 33 points and 3rd on the standing.
Dawda Bah and HJK Helsinki will continue to defend their title in a weekend clash with Lahti on Sunday in the Finnish Veikkausliiga. They are topping the table with 37 points, three points dividing their lead with runners-up FC Honka.
Compatriot Demba Savage's FC Honka at 34 points who are set to close on HJK will play JJK on Monday.
In the MLS, Amadou Sanyang and Toronto FC will take on New York, while Omar Jasseh's San Jose Earthquakes will face LA Galaxy.
Sainey Nyassi and Abdoulie Mansally's New England will travel to clash with KC Wizards.
