The Gambia senior national team (the Scorpions) will on Monday 30 May 2016 play a friendly international with the Zambia national football team (Chipolopolo) at the Independence Stadium in Bakau at 5pm, the GFF has confirmed.
The friendly international, according to the media release sent to Pointsports by GFF Publicity/Marketing Officer, is part of a series of technical training programmes set aside for the Scorpions ahead of their Group M AFCON Qualifier match at home to the Bafana Bafana of South Africa slated for June 4.
The friendly between The Gambia and Zambia will be the first time for the two senior national teams to come face off against each other at a top level.
The Gambia will use its blend of both local and foreign-based players as Head Coach Sang Ndong continues his rebuilding process for the Scorpions.
In light of this
development, the GFF urges all football stakeholders and fans to massively turn
up once again to cheer up the gallant Scorpions as they take on the Chipolopolo
at home.
