The Gambia deaf team last Saturday defeated their counterparts the Sierre Leone deaf team 2-0 in a friendly encounter, played at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.
The most-anticipated friendly encounter characterised by brilliant displays of skills and talents attracted large crowd from Brikama and its environs.
The Gambia deaf team opened the tally in 30 second of the game through striker Masanneh Summareh from a spectacular strike.
The Gambia deaf team increased the lead to 2-0 in the 3rd minute of the game when striker Masanneh Summareh netted it from a long-range shoot as he registered his second goal of the game.
The Sierre leonean fought back, but they were unable to broke the deadlock, and thus the first half ended 2-0 in favour of The Gambia deaf team.
