The Gambia national U-20 team has finally arrived in Senegal for a four-nation Football championship organised by West African Football Union (WFAU) zone A.
The Gambia home-based team under the guidance of head coach Omar Sise arrived in Senegal on Sunday for the much-awaited sub-regional football championship.
The Gambian team will begin their WAFU Football Championship campaign against Liberia on Thursday 5 November 2015 in Saint Louis, Senegal.
The Gambian team has played a series of test matches as part of their preparations for the WAFU Football championship before their departure to Senegal.
The WAFU football championship is expected to be completed by four nations, namely the host Senegal, Guinea Bissau, Liberia and The Gambia.
The WAFU Football Championship is meant for players plying their trades in their respective domestic leagues.
