Fatou Darboe was the winner of the 2012 Miss Nawettan Beauty Contest held in grand style at the Alliance Franco Gambia along Kairaba Avenue last weekend.
The participants for the beauty contest were drawn from eight Nawettan teams namely, Pencha BI FC, Kaw Talli FC , Hapapa FC Dippa Kunda FC, Tigers FC, Unicorns FC, Sticklers FC and Latrikunda FC.
The contest attracted an audience from the Greater Banjul area and environs.
Fatou Darboe was followed by Satang Dumbuya in second position, and Fanna Ndow in third position who was also crowned as the most photogenic. Ndey Wadda finished in fourth position. Fanna Sarge Camara emerged as Miss Personality.
As the winner of the beauty contest, Fatou Darboe received D3, 000 and the crown. Satang Dumbuya received D2,000 and a crown as the second place holder, and Fanna Ndow received D1,000 as third place winner.
