The
Farato Central Mosque was on Friday 24 March 2017 inaugurated at a colourful
ceremony attended by hundreds of people from all over the country and beyond.
Mansurr
Jarjusey, spokesman of the mosque, said they have waited for the day for long,
and Allah had finally answered their prayers.
According
to him, the mosque was sponsored by the Qatar fund for the grassroots though
the help of Dr Jawla, a native of Farato village.
He
added that the mosque was constructed by a trusted construction company.
The
mosque can accommodate up to more than seven hundred worshippers at a time, and
is fully-equipped with ceiling fans.
The
congregational prayer was led by Imam Baba Ceesay, the imam of the Farato
mosque.
