As part of his visit to The Gambia as the guest of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, National Sports Council and the Gambia Athletics Association, Dwain Chambers, a top British athlete and a household name in world athletics, who arrived in the country on Friday held his first training session with Gambian Athletes, at the Independence Stadium yesterday morning.
Some Gambian sprinters in both the male and female categories surrounded Dwain to listen to the instructions of one of the biggest Athletes in the world at the Independence Stadium yesterday in order to gain some experiences from Chambers.
This will help them improve and gain experience in the area of athletics for the betterment of their career towards achieving great results in the very near future, if they make the best use of the opportunity given to them.
Dwain Chambers who has achieved great success in athletics will spend five days in Banjul where he is expected to help Gambian athletes improve and gain experiences in athletics.
The British athlete will lead Gambian athletes to a series of training in both morning and afternoon sessions during his stay in The Gambia.
