He was last Wednesday arraigned before a magistrate court in Brikama.
The prosecution alleged that Lamin Ceesay on Saturday 12th September 2009 between the hours of 17.48 and 18.00 hours, at
He denied the charges.
The deceased, Bakary Bah, aged 8, was reportedly knocked down by the vehicle killing him on the spot, while he was trying to cross the highway to follow his herd of sheep.
The Police Prosecutor, Inspector Musa Njie, applied for an adjournment on the grounds that the case file was sent to the Attorney-General's Chambers for legal advice.
The trial Magistrate, Emmanuel A. Amadi, granted the application and subsequently put off the case until 21st October 2009.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ceesay was remanded on bail in the sum of D3, 000.
