One Modou Gaye was Wednesday arraigned before Magistrate Foster of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with rash and negligent act, causing death.
He denied the charge and was granted court bail of D200,000 with two Gambian sureties who must swear to an affidavit of means and deposit their ID cards.
The particulars of offence read in court stated that the defendant, Modou Gaye, on 7 May 2013, along the Gunjur Highway, West Coast Region, drove a motor vehicle with registration number BJL 8832H, in a rash or negligent manner, thereby caused the death of one Hendry Gomez.
Hearing was adjourned till 3 June 2013.
