Driver arraigned for rash and negligent act

A driver was recently arraigned before Magistrate Babucarr Secka of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with rash and negligent act, causing death.

According to the particulars of offence, on 1 April 2011, at New Yundum Village, the defendant, Yusupha Sama, drove a motor vehicle with registration number 4283G in a rash and negligent manner, thereby caused the death of an unknown person.

The case was adjourned till 11 April 2011 for judgement.
