A woman was on Monday arraigned before Magistrate Abeke of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with concealment of birth.

Meanwhile, the accused, Mama Conteh, pleaded guilty of the charge and was subsequently remanded in custody.
The police prosecutor, 1st Class 2294 Lamin Jammeh, applied for an adjournment on the grounds that when the accused gave birth she was taken to the hospital for medical check-up and the prosecution was yet to receive the medical report.
The case was subsequently adjourned till 6 April 2011 for judgement.
